Privacy

Last updated 2 November 2026. Short version: your learning progress lives in your browser. An account is optional, and it only exists to keep that progress on all your devices.

Without an account (the default)

With an account (optional)

You can sign in with Google from Settings. We never see your Google password. Google tells us you are who you say you are, and we keep only this:

WhatWhyHow long
Your name and email address from your Google account, and a Google account idTo show who is signed in and to match you when you sign in againUntil you delete your account
Your learning progress: XP, quest steps, interview and exam answers, saved cards, coding practiceTo keep it the same on every device you sign in onUntil you delete your account
A sign-in session for each device (stored as a one-way hash, not the token itself)So you stay signed in90 days, or until you sign out

We don't store your Google profile picture, your device settings (theme, answer engine), or your Ask questions with your account. We don't sell or share any of this. The people who run Datakul can see how many accounts exist, but not who they are or what is in them.

Signing in loads Google's sign-in button from Google, so Google can see that you opened the sign-in box. Nothing loads from Google unless you open Settings while signed out and sign-in is switched on.

Where it is kept

The app runs on Cloudflare Pages. The gateway and its database (Cloudflare D1) run on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare processes requests on our behalf and its servers may be outside your country.
